Biography:
Actor and singer Christian Laporte trained in Acting at the Théâtre Option program of Collège Lionel-Groulx. On stage, he has appeared in Chante avec moi by Olivier Choinière (Espace Libre, National Arts Centre, Festival TransAmériques), L’Incendie de la Triangle Factory by C. Piehler and S.A. Evans (directed by Valérie Le Maire, La Machinerie), Spring Awakening by S. Slater and D. Sheik (directed by Luc Gauthier, Théâtre de la Ville Longueuil), Noël 1933 by Dominique Grenier (directed by Jean Turcotte, Théâtre Exaltemps), Le Chant de Sainte Carmen de la Main by the trio René Richard Cyr/Daniel Bélanger/Michel Tremblay, and Demain matin, Montréal m’attend by René Richard Cyr/François Dompierre/Michel Tremblay (TNM, Francofolies de Montréal, and tours), as well as the Quebec adaptation of Mamma Mia by B. Andersson, B. Ulvaeus, and C. Johnson, adapted by Serge Postigo for Juste Pour Rire in 2019. He is regularly featured on television, in commercials and series. In 2009 and 2010, he participated as both performer and singer-songwriter in the Ma Première Place des Arts competition. Since 2010, he has been the singer for Wonder Trois Quatre, a show of spontaneous songs in which improvisation and live musical composition meet right before the audience’s eyes.
